Bernita Barfield's distinctive palette knife style reflects
her passion for the land and love of the southwest.
She is an award winning artist whose paintings have
been juried into the Empire Ranch Western Art Show,
the Tubac Center of the Arts and the annual
Huachuca Art Association Juried Exhibition.
Bernita continues to take classes and workshops, most
recently from Taos School of Art in New Mexico. She
has studied under the instruction of Louisa McElwain,
John Farnsworth and Bill Arms.
She is a member of the Huachuca Art Association, the
Tubac Center for the Arts, the Southern Arizona
Arabian Horse Association, the Arabian Horse
Association and the Sonoita/Elgin Cowbelles.
Currently, Bernita lives in Sonoita, Arizona
with her six horses, two dogs and two cats. |
