PERSONAL STATEMENT & BIOGRAPHY
"I concentrate on color,
movement and texture. In kindergarten I loved to watch the paint
being mixed for our class. The sight of moving paint is evident in
my manipulated pours. I also enjoy working on very thick heavy
canvas with thirty and forty layers of paint. The color slowly
rises to the surface in a soft, gleaming mysterious finish.
For the love of texture I enjoy collage. I like
to entice the viewer with many layers of paper and imprints to again
form a mystery at what lies unseen, but imagined.
Always, I'm trying to address feelings. Not
everyone feels the same thing when looking at a work of art. The
viewer then has a piece of art that is theirs alone with their own
personal feelings. A lustrous part of our humanity is the ability
the have feelings.
Abstract art is an internal expression of the external
perception.
Art is the tray on which I serve."
